Built in 2014. Free Wifi thru-out villa, pool and verandas. When you arrive at Villa Joie De Vivre, you will experience a real “joy of living” that rejuvenates your senses and well-being. Drink it all in - the expansive down island views, deep blue Atlantic Ocean hues, the sound of waves washing up against our Peterborg peninsula, or breathing in the sweet, soft and virgin ocean air - you will truly feel at home. A typical morning will find you sipping coffee out on the grand lanai in shade and cool comfort with summer sun heat only a few feet away. You will smile and relax a lot as you view sensational island and ocean vistas of unique panoramic beauty. You may pleasantly observe the total absence of passing cars or traffic noise while relaxing to sounds of lazy ocean movements, fresh breezes and the brown pelicans, native parrots, morning doves, hummingbirds and other sea birds that frequently fly close by your treasured perch. Later, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool and sunbathe on a lounge chair on the large pool deck. Villa Joie de Vivre is framed by the Atlantic Ocean, exquisite and lush tropical plants, tree and fauna, and ancient bolder formations that make this beautiful and serene environment a must for you to experience. If you enjoy the full array of colors and mother nature, you are in tropical heaven with native Chinese Fan palms, flamenco and tropical plants, and extensive landscaping with Coconut and Sylvestrius palm trees, hundreds of bougainvillea plants in five different colors, vibrant allamanda, plumeria, ixora flowers, and a spectacular flowering Flamboyant tree.
The villa has a total of four large, air-conditioned rooms, each with a ceiling fan. Three bedrooms have an en suite bathroom, king-size bed and ceiling fan. The fourth bedroom has a ceiling fan with two extra-long twin beds that seamlessly convert to a king. Spectacular island and ocean views abound in each room. The villa also is equipped with a big generator and automatic switchover.
The Great Room has a gorgeous down island view framed by wall-to-wall sliding/screened doors, AC and opens to a wraparound veranda, 9-foot wide above the ocean and 14-foot wide veranda above the pool, both connected to 15'x15' grand lanai. Cypress tongue-in-groove ceiling with large white wood beams frame the vaulted ceiling.
Expansive kitchen adjoins the Great Room with travertine countertops and custom built Cherry wood cabinets. Built-in appliances in kitchen are all top of the line GE products which include a wine refrigerator, double ovens and trash compactor, and a 4-burner gas stove top.
Enjoy the unique large outdoor living space of Joie De Vivre with spacious decks for dining or poolside, and verandas and a grand lanai that are shaded and afford postcard views of ocean and islands.
You are just a one-mile drive from famous Magen’s Bay, where snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing in one of the world’s most beautiful beaches are enjoyed year round. Several restaurants, Mahogany Run Golf Course or a zip line run are only five minutes by car, downtown Charlotte Amalie is a ten minute drive, and the ferry to St. John less than 20 minutes.

Located on the same level as the great room and main living area, the Master bedroom has a Pecan King bedroom suite with a large oriental rug, Ceiling fan with light, arched ceiling with cypress wood tongue and groove and large wood beams, in-beam lighting, two large clothing/shoe closets with mid and upper shelve storage (dimensions separate from room measure 5.5’ X 2.5’), and double glass door and windows that provide stunning down island views of Hans Lollik, Tobagos, Joste Van Dyke, Tortola, St. John and several smaller USVI and BVI cays and islands. French doors and wall-to-wall windows provide magnificent down island views of Hans Lollik, Tobagos, Joste Van Dyke, Tortola, St. John and several smaller USVI and BVI cays and islands. Staircase access and AC. Beautiful paintings, wall decorations. Small mahogany Secretary desk. Ceiling fan with recessed ceiling lighting in cypress tongue and groove wood ceiling. Air-conditioning. Private balcony between Bedrooms 3 and 4, with expansive down island views and access from both rooms. Two full closets. Linens in laundry room just outside bedroom door. Three large screened windows. Adjoining Glass/Screen Door opens to a covered patio (dimensions 9’ X 12’) with chairs and table for morning coffee and evening cocktails.
Bedroom 4 ‘Coral’ (2 Twins that convert to a King) (Dimensions 15’ X 15’):
Bamboo headboard with matching nightstand and Armoire. Same level and pool is on the other side of house wall. Access to pool and outside stairs to veranda and main level is through one door and covered patio through other door. Land-line telephone, internet - broadband hookup/Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations. Small chest of drawers, corner desk and lamp. Recessed ceiling lighting in cypress tongue and groove wood ceiling. Ceiling fan and AC. Framed art and Caribbean artifacts adorn walls. Large bamboo bookcase. Large windows dominate two walls to provide magnificent down island views of the pool/deck, and numerous USVI and BVI cays and islands, including Hans Lollik, Tobagos, Joste Van Dyke, Tortola and St. John.
No bathroom. Guests would use either the "Sage" bedroom bathroom or the main level powder room.
We can assist in grocery delivery to conveniently stock your fridge prior to your arrival, as well as arrange for private catering/chef services, private massage therapist, and housekeeping services.

When you reserve one of our properties, it is not available to anyone else for your dates. If you cancel the reservation by written notice at any time outside of sixty (60)* days prior to commencement of the rental period, we will refund all monies paid thus far minus a 3.5% processing fee if paid by credit card. NO REFUND will be made for any cancellation on or following the date that is sixty (60) days prior to commencement of the rental period (*90 days for Holiday weeks: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) unless in case of a Major Hurricane Warning (Category 3 and higher) during travel dates.
50% of the total nightly rental rate is due at the time of booking to reserve your dates if your arrival is more than 60 days out. The remaining balance including all fees and taxes is due 60 days from your arrival date (a reminder will be sent to you then). If you book within 60 days of your arrival, 100% of the total amount is due.
The security deposit ($500-$1500 depending on which property) is separate from the rental deposit, for any incidentals, and is due with final payment 60 days from arrival date. Security deposit will be ran as a pre-authorized charge and not an actual charge on a credit card on file two days prior to arrival and released within 7 days after departure.
