Seaside Retreat at Cowpet Bay East

My wife and I were on an extended trip to the USVIs and had some disappointments along the way. While the photos and description of this property were very nice, we held our collective breaths as we opened the hobbit-like front door expecting Bilbo Baggins to perhaps greet us. We were blown away by what we found. If anything, the condo was more impressive than the pics. It is spacious, beautifully decorated and well appointed. The team who manages this property is equally wonderful. We will definitely return.

If you are comparing this property to another, book this one! You will not be disappointed. We move to Amy's place last minute after getting to another booking for the same price that was run down and in a much less charming area.

Pros: Amy was super friendly and helpful; furnishings were high quality (very comfortable pull out with The Company Store linens Williams Sonoma mugs, etc); well stoked with beach chairs and heavy duty beach towels; huge high definition TVs on all three rooms; spotlessly clean kitchen and bathrooms; great water pressure and hot water; easy walk to the beach, pool, Sangria (bar/grill) and the Carribean Fish Market; safe, clean neighborhood (right next to the Ritz Carlton); easy, quick drive to Red Hook bars, restaurants and ferry; parking right out the front door;

Cons: Very few. There are about 50 steps down (and back up) to the beach/pool. It's in the second row so it has long range views but is not directly on the water. Honestly no other downsides.

Seaside Retreat is an amazing place and we felt right at home from the start. The condo is beautiful and has all the amenities you could possibly need - Amy has truly thought of everything. Cowpet Bay is a great location with beach/pool and restaurants just a short walk away. It felt secluded and peaceful but was also a very short drive to Red Hook and many beautiful beaches. Thanks so much for the amazing stay. We hope to return soon!

We absolutely loved our one week stay at the Seaside Retreat villa in Cowpet Bay East. Full access to the resort amenities (pool, hot tub, beach chairs, dining) was a perfect compliment to a private villa that offered space for our family of four to spread out. The location is perfect as it was a short 5-6 minute drive down to Red Hook to grab groceries, hit the pharmacy, or enjoy all the restaurants. We particularly loved Duffy's Love Shack, Hook'd, and Senor Pizza. Highly recommend this villa!

The unit was updated and modern with comfortable beds and everything we needed for the beach and our stay! Would highly recommend this unit and plan to stay here again!

1 week stay for 4 adults. Very clean and conveniently located condo close to Red Hook, just a short walk to Cowpet beach. Very accommodating host with all the recommendations you could need. This trip was all fun and trouble-free.

The condo was awesome and very clean and host was very responsive! Would recommend getting a rental car - few restaurants in walking distant and not many stores!

Staying here was absolutely amazing! I am not easy to please so when I say this Airbnb is beautiful, worth it and completely updated I mean it! The bed was comfortable, the showers were great, there were little things that made our trip so much better such as kitchen amenities, beach items etc. When we needed something Stashia and Amy were incredibly quick to respond and help! They helped us book an excursion, helped us when the WiFi was acting funny and were always available throughout our 8 day stay! The location is also perfect to jump on a ferry to St john, since it's only 5 minutes from Red Hook and the two restaurants on-site make it convenient. Thanks so much Amy and Stashia!

Everything was beautifully done and everything we needed was there. Only one problem condo was advertised as steps from the beach and pool, Lots of steep steps not suitable for anyone with back, leg or hip problems! That was the only disappointment!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cowpet Bay East! The condo was much easier to find than I anticipated and is close to Red Hook as well as other local authentic cuisines known to St. Thomas. The condo is stunning, modern, and spacious, and stocked with all of the essentials for an enjoyable stay. Anything you might need, trust me, it's there! The beach and pool are a few steps away, and I loved the condo had beach towels and lounge chairs. We even dined at the beach restaurant, Sangria's,for breakfast and lunch, as well as Caribbean Fish Market for dinner located near the property. My family was more than happy with our visit. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to St. Thomas!

We had a wonderful time at this condo in Cowpet Bay East. We have been all over the Caribbean and would say this condo was the BEST provisioned ever!! We very much appreciated the recommendations related to activities and car rental. They were great!! Thanks again!

Nothing but great things to say about this condo and property! We have a 5 and 6 year old and the condo was just perfect for our family. It had every single amenity that we needed! Amy was extremely responsive, especially when we arrived at night and had some difficulties navigating the complex. The condo was spotless!! Beds were extremely comfortable too. Everyone on site is so friendly and we felt very safe. We didn’t even need to leave because you have the beach, pool, and two restaurants to take full advantage of. The decor of the condo is impeccable, I wish I could have swiped up to buy everything! Wish we could have got to St John but our daughter got sick so we enjoyed the condo a lot (Highly recommend the Pediatric center Partner's for Kids if your kids need care while you’re there.) Thanks again for the great stay!

Our family of 6 had a great time at this condo. Kitchen was perfect for making breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed lunches out during our daily adventures. Condo was clean and well supplied to meet our needs. Amy was super helpful with finding a last minute boating excursion. Enjoyed the beach and pool. Snorkeling was great at Secret Harbor which is just a cove over. We’d highly recommend staying here.

I came with my husband and our 16yr old daughter. The location of the condo is perfect. Close to red hook and all the big beaches. Also has our own private beach. The condo was newly remodeled and beautiful. May be the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. This place is amazing.

Amy's place was great! Not only was the location great, but the condo was clean and filled with all the things we needed. Amy was quick to respond with any questions we'd had. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Amy is the perfect host and this place is exceptional. Close walk to the beach and a short drive to restaurants in Redhook plus other destination beaches. Highly recommend!

This condo was the perfect place for a group. We had the best time and really enjoyed the amenities. The pool area was especially awesome and the beach just a few steps away from the pool. The tennis courts also a huge bonus for us who play. Thank you for a wonderful, fun and clean experience Amy !
