Island Overlook at Cowpet Bay East

The property was in excellent condition and well appointed for our family. The bedrooms were very spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed for our meal preparation. Our host was very responsive when looking for recommendations.

Thank you to everyone at Islands Dream Vacations for our time at the Island Overlook at Cowpet! The condo was amazing! Plenty of space, clean and modern. Amy and Staisha were on top of it giving us details about our stay before arriving and even being in contact while we were on the island. The one question I had for Staisha on the island was answered promptly and was just what I was looking for! The pool, beach, bar, and restaurant just downstairs were a great time as always. Beautiful views from the condo. My guest and I were wishing we never had to leave and dreaming about the next
time we are coming back to this condo. Love it here!

Great Property/Great Location/Great Rental Group

The condo was beautiful and looks exactly as pictured. The views were also beautiful. Amy was wonderful to work with and very helpful and responsive! We had no problems with check in and found the condo to be well stocked and very accommodating for our group of 6 adults. We loved having restaurants right on the property. The only negative were the bugs. There were lots of tiny biting bugs on the beach. Luckily there are plenty of other beaches nearby! Overall a great place to stay and would recommend!

Amy's Condo was a Wonderful choice for our family vacation!! Amy was even accommodating when we ended up having a couple more guests than originally planned!

Great condo with beach, pool and dining right on the property. Did venture out a few times for dinner, once to Redhook, good restaurants but not a fan of the area and also to Havensight which was much nicer. Taxis are expensive so consider renting a car or using public transportation if destination is on their route.

An amazing getaway on the island! Amy provided everything you need and was extremely responsive and helpful with local recommendations. Beautiful view of Cowpet Bay and a nice, relaxing beach just steps away from the condo. Extremely satisfied with our family vacation here!

Amy was an exceptional host, with a tremendous property. This made our first family trip to USVI a really great experience.

The condo was perfect! Our son was participating in the International Opti Regatta across the bay at St Thomas Yacht Club. Amy and her team saw that all of our extra trips were planned and the condo had everything we needed for our stay. Beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, floats, etc. The kitchen was also well stocked.

Not only was the condo perfect for our family of 5, the location was beautiful- quiet and picturesque. Amy was incredibly responsive and helpful with all of my questions. She’s knowledgeable and so so helpful. We had zero complaints about our stay and would highly recommend this VRBO to all!!

The property was beautiful, just as described! Amy was great to work with and always answered questions promptly! We enjoyed spring break and celebrating our youngest daughter’s 21st birthday! There are 2 restaurants on property one higher end expensive and one that was reasonable for breakfast/lunch. If you want to go off property and you have a bigger group, know that taxi services will charge you per person for each ride you take and you will even need to get one into Red Hook because the roads are not safe to walk on. Very narrow and not a lot of sidewalks. We took the ferry to Saint John one of the days and went to Trunk Beach which is in the USVI National Park! Amazing!!!! All in all, it was an amazing trip! Can’t wait to go back!!!

This condo was fantastic! Very comfortable with plenty of room for 3 couples. We enjoyed the view as well as the beach and pool. Restaurants were a nice option, the kitchen was well stocked and the BBQ was a nice bonus for making meals. Easy access to everything. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location on the beach. Spent lots of afternoons in the ocean. Very clean and new looking inside. Each room had its own air conditioner with remote control which was nice. Would stay here again.

This is a really nice place on the East side of the island, only 10 minutes to a large grocery store or the various shops and restaurants in Red Hook. Very spacious with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, with a large master suite upstairs. Lots of nice decorations and wall hangings with a beach theme. Also lots of books, board games, and DVDs available for the guests. There are 2 balconies with ample seating and a great view of the beach and bay. I know the island sometimes has internet issues but our service was good. The condo is well stocked with kitchen stuff and there is a set of towels for each room along with 6 beach towels. It was also nice to have some beach stuff (bags, floats, etc.) to use while we were there. I recommend buying some extra stuff like body wash, toilet paper, etc. if you are going to be there for more than a few days, but it was well stocked otherwise. Both restaurants on site were very good and it sure is nice to be able to walk only a few steps to get a great meal. We also enjoyed the drinks at the pool bar. Our only real issue was the temperature in the upstairs bedroom as it was much warmer than downstairs. In terms of costs, the AIRBNB fee of 15% pushes the cost per night up a bit and that's why I rated the value a little lower. Finally, I can't say enough about the help we received from Amy in booking excursions and dinner reservations. She gave us lots of good recommendations and promptly responded to several questions before and during our stay. Amy definitely gets a 5 star!

Our family of 7 enjoys exploring new places, and St Thomas didn’t disappoint! Our clean and orderly Cowpet Bay East property has a lot to do with our fond memories of this vacation. The view was wonderful, the resort was intimate, the beach was uncrowded, and the restaurants complimented each other well. The property manager, Amy, went above and beyond helping set us up for success before our trip, helped locate our lost camera during the trip, and even contacted us when the housekeepers found some belongings after we had left. You won’t be disappointed with this rental or your time on the island!

We had an amazing time in St. Thomas, which was in huge part thanks to this condo! It was so clean and it is located right on the beach- couldn’t have been better. Check in was very easy and the host always replied very quickly. The condo had everything we needed to have a great week. It was so nice to have a kitchen and grill, a washing machine and dryer, plus plenty of beach supplies. We could not have picked a better place to stay for our trip! We are so happy to have found this place!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was conveniently located. Very quiet and peaceful place. There are two restaurants on site. The beach and pool were clean and never crowded. There’s a grocery store close by. Amy was great! We will be back.

What a beautiful place to relax! The location suited us perfectly, quiet beach, stunning views from all our balconies, 2 really excellent restaurants steps away. Very close to Red Hook for the ferry to St. John, as well as many more restaurants. We were three couples, and the layout of three bedrooms, each with their own full bath, made it very comfortable for all of us. The decor is beautiful, everything was immaculate. The kitchen was very well equipped, and there were many little extras that showed attention to the comfort of their guests-extra beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc. Thank you, Amy, everything was perfect! Wish we could have stayed longer (like forever!).

The Beachside Escape at Cowpet Bay East was perfect for my family. There were 8 of us (6 adults and 2 small children) and the layout of the unit was so convenient. Each couple/family had our own bedroom and bathroom. I loved that the master suite was upstairs which gave my husband and I a bit more space and privacy at the end of the day. The location on the island was great as we spent much of our time on the east end of the island due to a wedding that we attended at Sapphire Beach. It is a short drive to Red Hook for shopping and restaurants, as well as the ferry to St. John. There are several restaurants and bars on-site, as well, which were convenient. The unit itself was well stocked with items to bring to the beach - toys, chairs, towels, snorkels, etc. Some of the best snorkeling we saw was right off the beach near us. We spotted a nurse shark as well as a sting ray. Amy was wonderful, and so responsive when we had questions. I would definitely recommend the Beachside Escape for someone considering a vacation in St. Thomas.

The space was perfect for our needs and was exactly as pictured. The condo is updated and very comfortable with details including coolers, beach gear and a well stocked kitchen. Easy walk down to the beach and we loved having several restaurants nearby.

Property location and amenities are excellent. It overlooks a nice beach, and there are a couple of good restaurants right on the premises so we didn't have to even leave the resort. Pool was clean and not too crowded. Views across the bay at night were beautiful. The beds in the condo were comfortable, kitchen was equipped with every device you will need, and washer/dryer were very handy. If people in your party have mobility issues, be aware there are steps down to the condo unit, and also down to the beach.

We loved the property. Two floors - spacious and clean. Perfect for 3 couples. Awesome view of the harbour. Great pool and beach facilities with easy taxi access to numerous great restaurants. Very enjoyable!!

Beautiful home overlooking Cowpet Bay. Everything was great - clean, convenient, filled with everything we needed for our week stay with 3 teenagers. Amy was wonderful helping with recommendations and activities etc. The beach outside was very well maintained ( we walked over to the Ritz a couple mornings and it was covered with seaweed most days). The 2 restaurants on the property were very good. Nice pool and hot tub area in the Elysian that we have access to. We really enjoyed this place and recommend it to anyone who wants a beautiful, quiet, relaxing stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location is wonderful, beautiful beach and pool, fully loaded kitchen and home. We had three couples and a baby and having our own rooms and bedrooms was so convenient. The kitchen was stocked well with tools so we could cook meals in, and the bar downstairs made it easy to grab food/drinks when we didn’t want to make it ourselves. The location was very close to Red Hook which is good for dining and also hopping on the ferry to St John. Amazing stay, amazing vacation!

Great condo with very nice views. We enjoyed the beach which had plenty of seating and good swimming. Nice to have the two restaurants on site as well for easy alternatives to cooking. Amy was helpful and easy to communicate with. Thanks for a great stay!

We loved everything! Great amenities, great location, clean, and all the comforts of home. We snorkeled almost daily in Cowpet Bay and enjoyed a few delicious dinners at Sangria’s & The Caribbean Fish Market. Amy was wonderful, knowledgeable and very helpful! Thanks Amy! We will be back for sure!

This property had it all, perfect and I mean PERFECT beach location, gorgeous accommodations, fully stocked with everything you need including snorkeling gear, fully stocked kitchen, amazing views, beach chairs and grill! Amy was amazing, responded very quickly to any of our questions, gave great advise. The apartment is luxurious and pictures show it great! Highly recommend! Felt very clean and safe!

Amy was super communicative and helpful with everything before, during, and even after our trip! Couldn’t ask for better. The condo is located in an amazing location on the east end of the item and very close to everything we needed or wanted to do. Condo was well stocked with any appliances/utensils you may need as well as beach toys/snorkel gear! We will definitely be back!

This was such a wonderful property to stay in. Incredibly clean and newly renovated and perfect location right on the beach. Amy was available to respond to any text and drop extra items off as needed. We had such a great time on my son's high school graduation trip.

Prior to arrival, Amy was amazing with communication helpful suggestions and options. The condo was incredibly well appointed. All of the extras such as beach chairs, coolers, pool toys, laundry hampers etc. were in excellent condition. I found nothing was missing from what we needed to have a fabulous vacation. Will definitely work with Amy again. Her level of standards and attention to detail will guarantee a quality stay and top-notch accommodation.

Great location. Wonderful beach and pool. Good restaurants nearby. Easy access to St. John ferry. Red Hook is a cute little town with fun places to eat. Condo is spacious, comfortable and private.

The property was very clean, and quite spacious. It was also very relaxing, with the constant low drum of waves crashing into the beach that we could soak in on the nice patio, which easily sat our whole party of 6 comfortably. The pool was clean and very easily accessible (and, as a bonus, not very crowded). The beach was also accessible, and also clean. The beachside bar/restaurant served up excellent seafood and good drinks. Would recommend renting a car for those who stay here if any exploration of the islands are desired. Amy was a wonderful and responsive host! I would definitely stay again.

This condo is an amazing location with gorgeous view of Cowpet Bay and an easy walk to the beach and Caribbean Fish Market. It is completely furnished with comfortable, yet stylish, beach-themed furnishings. The third bedroom upstairs was quiet away from the other bedrooms so it was perfect to share with a roommate. I honestly felt at home in this condo. Love the keyless entry! The best part is the property manager, Amy, made my stay so easy with her impeccable response time to any question I had. Honestly, other property managers on the Island don't even come close to how awesome this girl is!

I took my wife and 3 children here to celebrate her 40th birthday and it was fantastic!

The condo was exactly as pictured! It was very clean, very roomy and felt like a true vacation from it all! The balconies overlooking the beach were great! We loved sitting out there, relaxing and having drinks! (Sangrias right on the beach makes great Mojito’s!)

The beach there had calm water, lots of chairs, was never crowded, and had plenty of sun & shade. The pool was wonderful also. Kids enjoyed both a lot! Condo had beach towels, snorkels, cooler bag and jug, chairs to take to explore other beaches, everything you need for a great beach day! Went to Coki Beach and swam with the sea lions, what an experience!

Red Hook was close by, had a small supermarket (Mo’s) that had all we needed to cook & grill when we chose to eat in. We ate at some great restaurants in Red Hook, loved Pesce & XO Bistro! Went to St. John twice and had fun at Cinnamon Beach (waves!) & Trunk Bay (nice snorkeling trail) and walked around the town. Overall fantastic vacation, fantastic condo, fantastic beaches, fantastic 40th birthday celebration!

Planned this trip rather hastily as grad gift for son and girlfriend from college. Ended up being amazing family trip for both sons and their girlfriends. Rather new to home rental, but felt would be more enjoyable than 3 hotel rooms. Best decision! Home was perfect for all involved with own personal space but nice kitchen, living room and decks. Great location with beautiful bay with very good snorkel, good food and drinks and easy access to Red Hook for food/drinks and ferry to St. Johns. Loved the extras of beach chairs, ice chest, extra masks/snorkels and even some bug spray and sunscreen available. Felt like our own home and Amy was present with unit immaculate when we arrived and communicated regularly with information and any needed updates. Would definitely recommend w/o hesitation.

Property well maintained and stocked with all the tools & equipment you would ever need on vacation.

My husband and our three teen children stayed at this lovely condo for a week. We were very comfortable. Everything we needed was at the condo. We have visited several times before and stayed at other east end locations but I will stay here whenever I return. The garden entrance is beautiful, the property is gated, and the parking is right up the path from the condo. The beach is a few steps away. There are chairs and hammocks available and the beach is not crowded. Two restaurants are on the property. The pool and hot tub and also a short walk away.

The balcony was wonderful. It is large enough for all five of us to enjoy dinner and the stars on. The seating is comfortable.

The unit has plenty of room for your party to spread out. The beds are comfortable. Upstairs bedroom has a private balcony. There is a full size washer, dryer, and even detergent. Plenty of beach towels, chairs, coolers, snorkel masks, bags and noodles. The kitchen has everything to prepare meals and a full size dishwasher. The unit is directly on the beach. The WIfi worked our entire trip and the power never went out due to the generator. We stayed a few days without a car and had everything we needed but we were glad to have a rental for the rest of the trip to explore the island in.

My family was very satisfied with the condition, amenities, and views of this condo. We enjoyed our visit and will consider it again when we come back to St.Thomas!

Amy's property was the perfect place for my recent stay in St. Thomas. I was there for work and really enjoyed all the comforts of home that came with Amy's well-appointed condo. All of the little things were provided which made making meals quick and easy. She really thinks of everything, from bug spray to laundry detergent. The setting is gorgeous, secluded and with two restaurants and a pool bar on the property, it has everything you need. When my co-workers and I got a break and some time off, we took full advantage of Cowpet and all of its amenities and couldn't have been happier. Would most definitely book again. Thanks, Amy!

The villa and Amy were amazing! The views of Cowpet Bay were gorgeous and we all enjoyed having our morning coffee or afternoon happy hour from the balconies. The condo was the perfect size for our two families: 4 adults, 3 teenagers, and an 8 year old. Amy was incredible and helped us book two water excursions that were truly our favorite days during our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with what we needed. I especially liked that the condo came with all the "extras" - beach chairs, towels, a cooler, noodles, snorkeling gear, and sand toys. Also any items that previous guests have left behind are there for the next guest to use (sunscreen, bug spray, sugar, coffee, etc). This was particularly useful when we ran out of sunscreen! The beach is just a short walk away and my little one loved swimming at the pool and watching the iguanas. My husband and 8 year old snorkled along the rocks of the bay the morning that we were leaving and saw a ton of fish and even a spotted eagle ray. If we should happen to return to St Thomas, we will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I have been coming to St.Thomas for the past fifteen years at least twice a year. After staying at numerous places on the island this has to be the best yet. The condo had everything you could possibly ask for. It was very nicely decorated, clean and everything you needed from beach towels to kitchen utensils.

Just being a few steps away from a beuatiful beach really topped it off along the nice restaurants they have on the property. House keeping was terrific. We had the condo cleaned half way through our stay and when we returned it was just like it was when we first arrived. We enjoyed our stay so much we are already booking for next year. After many visits to St. Thomas It doesn't get much better this .

I feel terrible that it has taken me so long to write a review, since our stay was this past July. But I cannot say enough wonderful things about both this property and Amy. Every aspect of our stay was thought out and taken care of and we had absolutely no issues whatsoever. And for those of you traveling with young children, you can appreciate how important it is that things go smoothly when you're stressed enough with your kids! Amy was so considerate and willing to help, going so far as to provide a pack and play for our son and allowing us to have a package of baby food and other necessities shipped to her prior to our arrival. We felt so at home and welcome and I can't even begin to go on and on about the phenomenal views from the condo! The restaurants are a huge plus, being just a few steps away, along with the very short walk to the beach and access to the pool. I truly could go on forever, but I'll just say this - we continue to compare every other place we look at to our stay at Cowpet Bay and none can even come close! You won't regret staying here!!

We just returned from what we considered the best vacation yet at Cowpet Bay. We have been fortunate to be able to visit St Thomas every year for the past 15 or so years and without a doubt this time exceeded our greatest expectations! This condo is gorgeous! It is exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated "island-style". Upon arriving we were greeted with a "special surprise" waiting for us on the counter and enjoyed it throughout our stay! Thank you!!! What a nice touch! This particular condo (we've stayed in quite a few at Cowpet) has all the amenities of home - and then some - all just footsteps away from a spectacular beach, a truly gourmet restaurant and a charming beach side bar! We thoroughly enjoyed each and every meal at both restaurants. I cannot recommend Cowpet Bay and this condo enough - we will certainly be returning very soon!

From the moment we pulled it , we knew it was going to be great.. This property is perfect for large family.. Plenty of space, everyone had a room and bathroom. WIFI kept the kids happy and saved us money on Cell phone bills!. Having laundry available was great.. PACK LESS smaller bags!.. Then again on St Thomas you only need swim suit some t shirts and maybe something nice to go out... Flip flops.. .... House had snorkel gear which made the quick walk to beach nice.. We snorkeled along the rocks off the point. .Lots of fish, coral etc. .. The beach is literally at the bottom of the steps outside the house.. there is a restaurant/bar you can eat at , get a cool drink all while wearing your swim trunks. . or if you want something nicer Caribean Fish Market is a few feet away. .. The pool was awesome. .also had bar... All of these perks about 100 yards away from house/unit.. beach was wonderful.. We had a nice breeze every day.. You are conveniently located near Red Hook. . Lots of shops and restaurants. .Ferry to St John.. We have been to St Thomas a number of times.. Without a doubt this was our best stay ever.. ! great unit.... Well worth it.. .

What a beautiful condo with a GREAT location! The views of the beach are amazing and with the beach a couple steps away, our 2 kids were in the water within 5 minutes of arriving!! The condo had all we needed for our trip, is super clean and had a really nice beachy relaxing feel. The property is very well maintained, with beautiful flowers and palm trees everywhere. Lounge chairs were always available on the beach and the condo had beach towels, snorkel gear and beach toys! Our kids were in heaven!! The pool was wonderful , great restaurants on property, and a short drive to Red Hook where we ate at some great restaurants and caught the Ferry to St John & enjoyed Trunk Bay. We had a wonderful time here and will be booking our next trip to this condo again soon!
